「韓国のグラミー賞」と呼ばれる、”Korean Music Awards”の総合・ジャンル別の受賞者候補と功労賞の発表がオンラインにて発表された。
この授賞式は、韓国の行政機関の一つである文化体育観光部やテレビ局、音源サービス等の後援によって行われる。音楽評論家やテレビ音楽番組のプロデューサー、ラジオプロデューサーなどが審査員を務め、販売・売り上げ数ではなく音楽性を選定基準としメジャー・インディーズの境界を越えて優れた作品に送られる。
昨年同様にコロナ禍での発表となり、公式YouTubeチャンネルにて選定委員長、選定委員によって発表された。
「今年のミュージシャン」候補者にKim Hyun Chul、The Volunteers、BTS、IU、イ・ランが選ばれ、「今年のアルバム」「今年の歌」では左記候補者陣の他にAKMU等が挙がった。
なお「今年の新人」候補者にaespa、SINCE、STAYC、Lee Mujin、HAEPAARYが選ばれた。
今年の授賞式は3月1日(火)18時より、ソウルのハンガン大橋に位置するノドゥル島のライブハウスよりオンライン生放送にて発表されることが明らかになった。
今年の活躍が期待される韓国音楽業界注目のアーティスト発表の瞬間をお見逃しなく。
